New Hope for Orphaned Students – Anbu Karangal Scheme in

 Times of India: Stalin to introduce Anbu Karangal.

According to this article, the CM of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin will foreshadow the Anbu karangal scheme at Kalaivanar Arangam. The scheme is a part of Thaayumanavar. It provides 2000 Rupees / month to children with one or both deceased parents, until they attain the age of 18 years. The laptops will also be availed to those who lost both parents and are joining higher education under a government-assisted admission.

The scheme is applicable in the Nilgiris district to children who lost both parents and are being brought up by their relatives and children who lost one parent and in which the remaining parent is incompetent to take care of them. Identical procedure of the application (Ungaludan Stalin camps or officials) is observed.
