🐍 The Unexpected Intruders

It was thought that the reptiles had visited the poultry farm in search of food and this is not uncommon of snakes at certain times of the year. The availability of several poisonous cobras, together with the python, posed a great danger on the inhabitant of the farm as well as to the animals.

Swift Response by Snake Helpline 🚨

The Snake Helpline organized a rescue mission when they got distress calls of villagers. Rescuer Sarat Majhi arrived at the location, and managed to take all the cobras and the python intact. The reptiles were then safely transferred to an adjacent forest, a long distance away form human settlements.

F Facts at Play Environmental Factors.

There are experts who propose that the abnormal behavior of the reptiles could have been due to the recent environmental changes. The torrential rains have also probably flooded their natural holes forcing them to find an alternative shelter and food. Furthermore, the food shortage in their naturally occurring areas might have led the snakes to move near to human settlements.

🧭 A Community's Resilience

Though it was always a frightening sight to see all these snakes in one place, the immediate response of the villagers and the effective work of the Snake Helpline made the situation calm. The incident is an eye opener on the significance of living with animals and the necessity of being attentive and ready to deal with such cases.
