Resuming from 217/8, the West Indies were soon bowled out for 248 runs. Khary Pierre and Anderson Phillips began the day unbeaten, but both failed to add significant runs before Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Pierre for 23. The last wicket to fall was Jayden Seales, who was taken by Kuldeep Yadav to complete a brilliant five-wicket haul, finishing with 5/82.

Ravindra Jadeja also played a crucial role, taking three wickets, while Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah picked one each. India’s first innings was dominated by the batters — Yashasvi Jaiswal (175), Shubman Gill (129*), Sai Sudarshan (87), Dhruv Jurel (44), and Nitish Kumar Reddy (43) — helping India post a commanding total of 518/5.

With a 270-run deficit, West Indies were asked to follow on. Openers John Campbell and Tagnarine Chanderpaul looked to build a steady start, but India’s pace attack soon broke through. Mohammed Siraj, supported by a sharp catch from captain Shubman Gill, dismissed Chanderpaul for 10.

At 35/2 in 14.3 overs, Alick Athanaze (7) became the second batter to fall, losing his wicket to Washington Sundar just before Tea. Campbell (18*) remained unbeaten as the visitors trailed by 235 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav was the standout performer for India, with figures of 5/82 in the first innings. His consistent spin and accuracy troubled the Caribbean batters throughout. Jadeja complemented him well with his left-arm spin, while Bumrah and Siraj maintained pressure with the new ball.

India’s fielding also impressed, with sharp catches and disciplined bowling ensuring the visitors never settled.

The West Indies now face an uphill battle to avoid an innings defeat. With two days remaining and India in complete control, the hosts will look to wrap up the game quickly. The Caribbean side will need a monumental effort from their remaining batters to stretch the match into Day 5.

Day 3 at Arun Jaitley Stadium belonged entirely to India. From Kuldeep Yadav’s five-wicket haul to the disciplined bowling by the pace unit, India’s dominance left West Indies reeling. With the visitors at 35/2, trailing by 235 runs, India stands on the brink of another commanding Test victory.
